CSMS # 64270075 - 5106 Requests for CBP Assigned Numbers - ACE System Failure U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent this bulletin at 02/28/2025 12:56 PM EST CSMS # 64270075 - 5106 Requests for CBP Assigned Numbers - ACE System Failure This message only applies to filers receiving an ACE System Failure on an initial 5106 request for a CBP Assigned Number (CAN). Please be advised that some 5106 transactions requesting a CAN are receiving an ACE System Failure (ASF) response when the data includes a T3 record with full legal name. It is anticipated that the fix to correct this issue will be deployed on Saturday, March 1. Until the fix is deployed, filers can omit the T3 record with full legal name on the initial request and immediately submit an “update” to include the full legal name on the T3 record. Update your subscriptions, modify your password or e-mail address, or stop subscriptions at any time on your Subscriber Preferences Page . You will need to use your e-mail address to log in.
