The
ACE Truck Manifest ANSI X12 309 Message Implementation Guide
has been updated with clarification that consignees for Section 321 bill types (13, 35) must provide a valid U.S state code. This requirement is in alignment with
19 C.F.R. § 142.3
and
Customs Directive No. 3550-079A.
NOTE:
Trade and Software Developers that submit via the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) will need to program and test their software to incorporate these changes.
