CSMS # 63342070 - ACE Portal Modernization: Information on Entering Foreign Address Information for Importer and Carrier Accounts
For ACE users who submit foreign address information to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for importer or carrier accounts, CBP advises the following:
When entering an importer or carrier’s foreign address via the modernized ACE Portal or via electronic data interchange, enter the address record’s numeric value before the street name record (e.g., “123 Streetname Road”)
When entering a foreign address (excluding Canada and Mexico), users should enter the city name in the “City” field and select the “User Validated Address” box so that the Trillium Address Validation service retains the city value. Unchecking the “User Validated Address” box will cause the record to be registered and saved incorrectly.
In addition, CBP recently updated the available country codes for foreign address submissions for ACE Portal accounts, including the addition of the Marshall Islands and Palau.
