CSMS # 63575275 - AMS Upcoming HTS Code Updates for Onions and Grapefruit Including Pomelos
On or around January 1, 2025,
484(f) Committee Changes to the HTS and Schedule B
will go into effect. AMS is working with CBP to update the affected HTS codes in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system and with 1USG to adjust flagging for commodities covered under AM4. These changes will affect the filing of the listed commodities under various Marketing Order (MO) message sets.
Onions:
HTS code:
0703.10.4065
will be replaced by HTS codes
703.10.4055, 4060, 4064, 4066, 4068.
Grapefruit
:
HTS code:
0805.40.4000 and 0805.40.8000
will be replaced by HTS codes:
0805.40.4010 and 0805.40.8010.
Pomelos:
Pomelos have their own HTS codes
0805.40.4090 and 0805.40.8090.
Pomelos are
exempt
and do not require AMS marketing order data.
