CSMS # 64710039 - Malformed QR Codes for ACE Truck Manifest
CBP has identified an issue with the formatting of ACE Truck Manifest QR codes containing special characters (+ sign) and erroneous numerical characters embedded into the QR code.   This has resulted in CBP not being able to properly read the QR code.
CBP is requesting that all software providers submitting ACE Truck Manifests review the QR Code Specification Guide and ensure the QR codes are properly formatted.
Once the programming for the QR codes is complete, the QR codes can be tested internally using a cell phone camera to determine whether the QR data format matches the Specification Guide.  If it does not match what is outlined in the Specification Guide, the software will need to be corrected.
