REMINDER
: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Core business rule transition period is ending in CBP’s CERTIFICATION environment. On November 1, 2024, the items below will be removed as valid in CBP’s CERT environment:
APH_APQ_042
702 will no longer be a valid PG10 Category Code (APHIS Article Category)
APH_APQ_033
FRC will no longer be a valid PG10 Commodity Characteristic Qualifier
APPENDIX PGA/APH_APQ_009
In “APHIS Characteristics – Fruits and Vegetables (Physical State A61),” FRC, FRF, and SHR will no longer be valid values
In “APHIS Characteristics – Fruits and Vegetables (Physical State A71),” FRC and FRF will no longer be valid values
UPDATE
: The above APHIS Core business rule update will move to CBP’s PRODUCTION region on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, between 5:00 – 7:00 a.m. (instead of Saturday, December 7).
