CBP has extended the warning period,
which will now end on November 11, 2024
. Rejections will now be
effective noon EST on November 12, 2024
.
Testing for Vague Cargo Descriptions is available in the certification environment as of
October 2, 2024.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) implemented nationwide cargo messaging to communicate with the ACAS filers on shipments that have vague noncompliant cargo descriptions.
A list of unacceptable cargo descriptions can be found on the CBP website at:
