Automated Transmission of Container Seal Changes to ACE Manifest for Ocean and Rail Shipments (CBP-199) – Available in ACE CERT Environment Now and Deploying to ACE PROD Environment on April 9, 2026

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) deployed updates to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Certification (CERT) environment to support the automated transmission of container seal changes for *ocean and rail shipments*.
This update includes impacts to electronic data interchange (EDI). New disposition codes have been introduced, allowing ACE to automatically notify carriers via EDI when CBP personnel add or remove container seals for ocean and rail shipments.
This enhancement will be deployed to the Production (PROD) environment on April 9, 2026.
