CSMS # 65109243 - Intended Use Description (PG01) Not Valid for FDA
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has discovered some filers are transmitting information for “Intended Use Description” in PG01 in the FDA message set. As indicated in the FDA Supplemental Guide (FDA SG) for the Automated Commercial Environment/ International Trade Data System (ACE/ITDS), this field is not applicable in the FDA message set. Information transmitted in this field  is not available for FDA users. Any information intended to be communicated with FDA is to be provided in data elements identified for use in the FDA SG.
